What is LiveTimer?
LiveTimer is an online service used by professionals all over the world to track their time. People who need to track time for billing purposes, or to improve accountability or personal productivity, can benefit from using LiveTimer.

What do I need to use LiveTimer?
A modern web browser, such as Firefox 2.0+, Safari 2.0+, or Internet Explorer 7.0+, is all you need to use LiveTimer. Javascipt must be enabled in your browser (which it is by default).

Can I install LiveTimer on my own servers?
No. Currently, LiveTimer is available only as a service.

Who is Cerebris Corporation?
Cerebris Corporation solely owns and develops LiveTimer. Cerebris Corporation was founded in 1998 by brothers Dan and Larry Gebhardt. Based in New Hampshire, Cerebris has developed custom software solutions for clients around the world, including small, medium and Fortune 500 companies. Having created numerous web applications for clients, we are now putting that experience to work developing our own online services for use by the general public.

How much does LiveTimer cost?
Once your 30 day free trial period ends, LiveTimer will cost $5 per active user per month.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

Do you offer a discount for non-profit organizations?
We're proud to offer a 50% discount to qualified non-profit organizations.

Who will be contacted about billing?
Everyone assigned as a "billing contact" within your LiveTimer account will receive billing notifications.
Security, confidentiality, and reliability

Is my data secure and confidential?
We make every reasonable effort to keep your data secure and confidential:
- We use 256-bit SSL security to encrypt data that travels between your browser and our servers. This is the same type of encryption used by online banks.
- Cerebris hosts LiveTimer in a secure, monitored facility. This state of the art facility has fire suppression, a backup generator, and multiple links to the Internet. It was even located near an airport to take advantage of dual power grids.
- Cerebris owns the servers and networking equipment used by LiveTimer. This equipment is operated from a locked cabinet, and access is tightly controlled.
- We perform offsite backups throughout the day to protect your data in case of catastrophe.

How reliable is your service?
We try to keep LiveTimer available 24/7. We use Pingdom to monitor the availabilty and performance of LiveTimer every minute of every day from locations around the world. View LiveTimer's current status and uptime history.

Can I obtain full backups of my data?
We allow you to backup and download your account's data in XML format. We also allow you to restore your account from a backup. Account Administrators can access these features from the "Backup / Restore Account" section within the Account tab. Note: LiveTimer will not allow you to restore backups that have been edited. If you wish to change data, please use the developers' API.

Can I export my data? In which formats?
The account backup feature mentioned above allows you to backup and download all of your account's data in XML format. In addition, reports can be exported in CSV (Comma-Separated Values) or XML (Extensible Markup Language) formats.

Does LiveTimer integrate with any project planning or accounting software?
We are planning to allow data exports into QuickBooks, and we are considering integration with 37signals' Basecamp project management service. Please send an email to support AT livetimer DOT com and let us know if you'd like us to consider additional integration options.

Do you offer an API for developers?
Yes. The LiveTimer API provides almost unlimited integration opportunities. Extensive documention is available here.
